Heidfeld very happy to live in Switzerland

Nick Heidfeld's home is in Stäfa, Switzerland. The BMW Sauber F1 Team driver, currently second in the driver standings, talks about his home and reveals that he tries to be there as often as possible.

For many years now, Nick and his family have lived in Stäfa, close to Zurich. Several years ago, the German opted to leave Monaco in order to move to the Sauber team's factory, for which he was racing at the time. It is a decision Nick never has regretted - he enjoys living in the idyllic little town located on the north bank of Lake Zurich. "The people are very discreet and let you be," he says.

However, this isn't the only reason why Nick tends to travel back to Stäfa whenever he has the time to do so. Due to his tight schedule, he often is forced to spend long periods without his girlfriend, Patricia, and his two children, Juni and Joda. "Above all, I miss my family a lot when I'm on the road for two or three weeks," admits the 30-year old.

To keep in contact with his family, Heidfeld spends a lot of time on the phone. However, he deliberately avoids talking about his profession. "I'm not going to bore Patricia by talking about which rear wing setting worked better on my car," says the man who is currently in runner-up position in the World Championship.
