Massa, Schumi, Barrichello and Button support charity event
Michael Schumacher, Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello have given their support to a charity evening held by Rob Smedley, the race engineer of Felipe Massa. The charity evening has to raise money for the 'Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society'.
Rob and Lucy Smedley lost their daughter Minnie last June and want to do something back for the SANDS, who supported them after their loss. To raise money for the SANDS, the couple organises a charity event at the Marton Country Club in Middlesbrough and this on 30 May.
During the event, a race overall of Michael Schumacher and Felipe Massa, a Button-signed shirt and a Barrichello-signed helmet will be auctioned. Other prizes are passes for a F1 test, a skiing holiday and an executive box at Old Trafford for the game between Manchester United and Middlesbrough.
Lucy Smedley said: "The support we have received so far has been amazing and Rob and I find it so heart-warming that people have come out of the woodwork to support our event. We are so comforted by the fact that Minnie touched so many people's hearts."
