American body might follow the example of ADAC
It appears that the American Automobile Association, the AAA, might follow the example of the German national motoring body and leave the FIA. Representative Robert Darbelnet declared to reporters in Paris that the club was considering joining the ADAC in the protest.
Robert Darbelnet, representative of the AAA said that it was a "disappointing day for the FIA".
He added: "I will give it very serious consideration whether or not to remain effectively engaged in an organisation that condones this type of activity."
