Frustrating day for Coulthard
It was a sunny summer's day at Silverstone today, but the rain which turned the English track into an ice rink on Sunday seems to have followed the F1 teams to Germany, as the first day of this three day test session featuring all ten teams was hit by showers and wind which lasted for all but the last couple of hours.
So it was a frustrating time for David Coulthard whose programme included a suspension geometry evaluation and a first look at the two types of tyre that will be used in the German Grand Prix which returns to Hockenheim after a one year break in two Sundays time. DC will be in the cockpit again tomorrow morning, when the weather is due to improve, before Mark Webber takes over in the afternoon.
