Team: Arrows Grand Prix International Ltd
Designers: Alan Jenkins
Drivers: Michele Alboreto (9), Alex Caffi (10), Stefan Johansson (10)
The FA12C is the successor of the Footwork FA12, modified only to mount the Brian Hart-prepared Cosworth-Ford DFR V8 engine that replaced the Porsche 3512 V12 engine that was fitted in the FA12.
While reliability improved, the performance of the FA12C was hardly better than its predecessor. During the last 10 races of 1991, Footwork fielded two FA12C's that resulted only in 3 retirements and 4 finishes. All the other times it failed to qualify or pre-qualify. The best result was recorded by Alex Caffi who finished 10th at the Japanese Grand Prix.
