Red Bull’s Max Verstappen topped the second session for the Belgian Grand Prix, but Mercedes seemingly held its pace back on the flying laps, showing dominant race pace during the long runs.
Front wheel alongside rear wheel. He should leave the guy some room.
That's not even an opinion, it's part of the rules. If a driver attempting a pass achieves an overlap while still within the track limits, the other driver is required to leave space (that is unless the FIA has stupidly removed the rule and I missed it).
Yeah I agree. I should have worded it better. Like you say, Schumacher broke the rules and because of it he received a 10 place penalty I think it was.
All I'm getting at is, judging by the onboards, Schumacher left 0 room, where as Perez left a fraction under a car width, so I can see why Schumacher was penalised and Perez wasnt. I was trying to explain it in a way that Moore77 could see my reasoning.
I did a better job of explaining it by posting those onboard screenshots that clear defy your explanation. If only you would have paid attention. I also mentioned it was overtly ambitious of Barrichello to go for the move despite knowing the door is closing. He should have backed off, but he chose to go outside the white line to attempt a pass. Whereas Gasly was long alongside Perez for a very long time when Perez decided to squeeze and leave no room.

So we can all agree Perez is one of the dirtier drivers on the grid.
And yesterday his move was no way as bad as Schumachers on Barrichello in Hungary 2010. (Schumacher being mentioned because Wass85 brought it up)
Also Hamilton Rosberg 2014 not being mentioned despite Moore77 trying to get them involved lol

Your explanation was Schumacher left 2.3 meters. Which quite honestly, is hilarious.

Not more hilarious than yours! It was intended for you to figure out.
And it took you minutes to bring Hamilton into the conversation. Who would have thought
Going back, I still stick to Perez left about 1.9m. and Schumacher left about 1.9cm. Both the cars on the right had wheels over lapping before the track space ran out. Can you please give me some numbers on the amount of room each driver (Michael and Sergio) left to the edge of the race track?

He went over the white line because Schumi gave him no place to go. Once he achieved an overlap and was still within the white lines (as the screenshots above shows), he was entitled to a cars width of space no matter what you think.
"You could disqualify him from the next grand prix, or two grands prix," said Warwick. "But we felt a ten-place penalty is a big penalty to carry for Spa. Hopefully he will learn from that and remember that the new stewards will not tolerate that driving."
yeah, to me thats about 1.9m. what the hell are you looking at ???
What stopped Barrichello from sticking to White line and not cross it? Because as per your definition, white line was the track and there was no room for overtaking! So that makes Barrichello wrong. When he was alongside, he was already out of race track! The guy ahead is entitled for the race track position.

Just answer, stop deflecting away from the fact you are just plain wrong. Schumacher left no room perez left almost a full cars width! again, i stick to my numbers. Perez left 1.9m. Schumacher left 1.9cm.

Well, I stick to the fact that, Barrichello went for the overtaking move outside of the track, which was illegal and Schumacher deserved to hold his place.

It's your opinion that I am being obstinate, which is insulting because, in my opinion, you are doing just the same. So stop calling me out because of your misplaced opinion.
Barrichello went for a dumb move that Hamilton went for in 2016 Spain. The only difference was, it was grass.
