Front wheel alongside rear wheel. He should leave the guy some room.
edit: why are you showing me Perez? I said it was naughty earlier. I'm not defending Perez. Im commenting on schumacher after your buddy threw his name in the ring earlier today.
Because you said, Schumacher's move was more dangerous than Perz's and he did not leave 0.00776764 to the square of -0.08867 room.NathanOlder wrote: ↑31 Aug 2020, 18:59In my opinion, once it gets to this point, Schumacher should leave a cars width.

No I argue, Schumacher left 2.3m and Perez left 1.9cm.NathanOlder wrote: ↑31 Aug 2020, 19:13And it took you minutes to bring Hamilton into the conversation. Who would have thought
Going back, I still stick to Perez left about 1.9m. and Schumacher left about 1.9cm. Both the cars on the right had wheels over lapping before the track space ran out. Can you please give me some numbers on the amount of room each driver (Michael and Sergio) left to the edge of the race track?
It was an honest question. Getting to 15k rpm in any car engine is never going to be a straight forward exercise. I'm sure given the money, it can be done.Zynerji wrote: ↑31 Aug 2020, 18:33Lighter components and a fluidampr get these over 10K in home garages. I guess I was thinking that it would need some re-engineering for a full race build. Just like every single other OEM engine that is built to race.Just_a_fan wrote: ↑31 Aug 2020, 17:20How much re-engineering would be required to get it to rev reliably to 15k, or even just to rev to 15k at all without turning in to a lump of scrap?Zynerji wrote: ↑30 Aug 2020, 01:28
I've recently found the Vortec 3700 L5 engine, and I'm in love.
DOHC finger-follower, 3.7L, VVT, flat-plane V10 sound, in a super compact block. If driven at 15000rpm, would give around 900HP.
I can't believe I overlooked such a plentiful and cheap Chevy engine before.![]()
Pirelli made tyres more suitable for the aero loads this year and the teams rejected them. Most likely because learning a new tyre is a pain for them.ENGINE TUNER wrote: ↑31 Aug 2020, 03:31Did the FIA ask for tires that pop in Silverstone? Nobody asked for these garbage tires, pirelli simply are incapable of doing better.
IIRC in ocon incident he didn't left him those 2mmNathanOlder wrote: ↑31 Aug 2020, 16:43Or maybe Perez left him a cars width +2mm.
In all seriousness though, it was very close to a huge accident, luckily it was perfect and both drivers went through unscathed.
Were not discussing Ocon incident though?sosic2121 wrote: ↑31 Aug 2020, 19:21IIRC in ocon incident he didn't left him those 2mmNathanOlder wrote: ↑31 Aug 2020, 16:43Or maybe Perez left him a cars width +2mm.

That's not even an opinion, it's part of the rules. If a driver attempting a pass achieves an overlap while still within the track limits, the other driver is required to leave space (that is unless the FIA has stupidly removed the rule and I missed it).NathanOlder wrote: ↑31 Aug 2020, 18:59In my opinion, once it gets to this point, Schumacher should leave a cars width.

Yes. Race track is defined by white line. Why did Barrichello leave the race track for overtaking? That was illegal of him to have overtaken Schumacher! If there was a gravel trap, would Barrichello have attempted it?NathanOlder wrote: ↑31 Aug 2020, 19:16The race track is defined by the white line is it not?
And I never said Schumachers move was more dangerous.. that's just another thing you imagined.
He was forced off. Hence the penalty to Schumacher, jesus.Moore77 wrote: ↑31 Aug 2020, 19:26Yes. Race track is defined by white line. Why did Barrichello leave the race track for overtaking? OK. That was borderline but still "fine".NathanOlder wrote: ↑31 Aug 2020, 19:22Were not discussing Ocon incident though?sosic2121 wrote: ↑31 Aug 2020, 19:21IIRC in ocon incident he didn't left him those 2mmNathanOlder wrote: ↑31 Aug 2020, 16:43Or maybe Perez left him a cars width +2mm.

But we definitely are discussing Perez, who is a serial offender and has committed the crime earlier too.NathanOlder wrote: ↑31 Aug 2020, 19:22Were not discussing Ocon incident though?sosic2121 wrote: ↑31 Aug 2020, 19:21IIRC in ocon incident he didn't left him those 2mmNathanOlder wrote: ↑31 Aug 2020, 16:43Or maybe Perez left him a cars width +2mm.

Yeah I agree. I should have worded it better. Like you say, Schumacher broke the rules and because of it he received a 10 place penalty I think it was.dans79 wrote: ↑31 Aug 2020, 19:24That's not even an opinion, it's part of the rules.
