A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Compressor airbox seems to be very different from the 2014 one, it looks longer as if the turbo was placed in the engine's V
The rollhoop-fed-cooler is just behind the intake plenum which looks huge.
No STR style oil coolers.

compressor airbox does not look much different from 2014 to me, it seems to go to the back but than bends forward- downwards
Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

depends on at what 2014 solution you look

looks a bit higher but not more rearwads to the 2014 Merc teams solutions

I would say the ears are for cooling the turbine or turbine area. Merc has had something like that last season, or am i wrong?

I just realised how similar the noses of the Lotus and Mercedes are.

Look at that rear wing inner side sections, at the lower wingplate it's much "fatter" than the wing itself.
I don't think there's another car that has it like this?
