Madness from Verstappen. Behind Hamilton the whole time, tried something that absolutely wasn't on, and in past years we'd be looking at a dead driver.

And yes, as mentioned, on the first lap Hamilton backed out in an identical situation.
He wasn't behind. They were side by side the whole time. Like Ocon vs Vettel earlier.
No they weren't. At no point during the corner was Verstappen ahead until he was airborne.

VER was clearly hot under the collar. I don’t deny that. But there was space to go around the outside. The second part of that corner is the interesting part. Glad Lewis is okay. Scary stuff.

I’d argue both are racing incidents….high high risk moves….it will go wrong often

So another serious injury or even death of a driver saved by Halo? Or was it the roll hoop this time?
Both, but yes , I was fully against the Halo, but have definitely come around to seeing how this is very good now.

If that is any other driver other than Lewis then Max would've went across the chicane, he's always aggressive to Lewis and paid the price today because he's out the race.

Lewis gave him space on the way in but shut the door on the way out.

No doubt Lewis expected Max to go across the chicane but he didn't.

Thing is, Max didn't leave any space on the race start. So why should Lewis? And that's why it's a racing incident imo, as that's the standard the FIA have set themselves.

Max was not even at the Apex. Yield.
I presume with that logic you blamed Lewis for Silverstone?

Brundle doesn’t agree with you.
Brundle saying lap 1 was ok to squeeze lewis off the track. Then saying Max deserves space. 1 very different views on near identical moves
Exactly.

The chicanes suck, the sausage curbs suck, Max doesn’t leave an inch / Lewis doesn’t leave an inch.

Racing incident all around.

Racing incident IMHO. Max was very unlucky in that the kerb threw his car into Lewis'. If that hadn't happened, or if the tyres had connected side wall to side wall, then wouldn't have been an issue.

And that's me out of the race thread for a few days 😂

Come on Daniel!!!!
I agree with you. Can I come with you? I'm leaving too before the Verstappen bashing commences.

Yeah that's a potential penalty for Max.

Louis left him space, when he started leaving the track,When he came back on to the track he launched on to Lewis's car.

Lots of people said he was wrong about Silverstone when he said racing incident.
Its not just Brundle literally the onboards show they were side by side. You can see Verstappen on Lewis' onboard the as they turned through. Perhaps Hamilton just didn't expect him there.

All that aside, this is looking like a fantastic last 20 laps.

Works both ways though. You can avoid an accident as well as cause it. Theres plenty of examples of drivers pulling out to avoid an accident of a driver taking a punt.
