He wasn't trying to carry on with the race. He was hell bent on pushing Hamilton wide or worse. He was on hards, ham on softs; he was never going to be able challenge him from that point on. Instead of losing points, he took the schumacher way.
I think they'd be wise to, if they wanted to pursue the matter. Although I can't see anything really coming of it.
