Hey, I generally agree. But this is an off-topic thread for funny pics, and has always been. Does it really make a difference if people make up an unfunny quote on the go before being allowed to post the picture?

The clue's in the thread name. For 15 years this thread has been for people to try to put amusing captions to photos. In the last few months it's just become a meme-fest. Why can't we keep the caption competition thread for that purpose and have a new thread for general "amusing" pictures? Or does every thread on this forum have now to descend to a single common purpose?
