sadly, so far Tsunoda looks like nothing more than "pay-driver"
I still hope he will establish himself in f1, but so far he is the disappointment of the year.
He's quite inexperienced, he only did one season of F3 and one season of F2 before F1, it probably isn't easy to come from Japan to Europe during this time when you can't travel home so easily. Let's see what happens next year, I would expect progress.

I missed the last race. How was Tsunoda running before they retired him (for engine reasons?)
Nothing special, start 14, retired 14th, cannot overtake, not that good defend, but no error except in qualy.

I was hoping Albon would drive alongside Gasly. Let Yuki be the reserve/test driver and learn on the sims and see how the other guys do it may be good... But oh well.

I think, the book isn't closed on Tsunoda, YET. He has made numerous significant Gaffes this year that a Tsunoda fan should be very concerned about him being able to progress much further. Not saying it's impossible, it's just looking like the odds are stacking up against him.

When you look at the good young drivers (LeClerc, Sainz, Norris) none of them made Tsunoda type mistakes and if they did, they weren't as numerous.

Jorge Lorenzo was crashing all the time but when he solve he was very consistant and fast rider. His solve of issues maybe because of electronics, I am not sure. But mistakes are bad only if you don't get rid of them.

Scuderia AlphaTauri

AlphaTauri All Access is back! While it wasn't a successful weekend on track for us due to a double DNF, we still had a lot of fun at our home Grand Prix, including having our own race with Pierre and Yuki at the classic Monza Banking! Through the madness, we captured all the best bits for you to enjoy!
