From what Rubens said, he was hit from behind by Kovi...
Which race where you watching?

Even the BBC guy's asked why he didn't get penalised for blazing into the corner so hot and causing that accident, Kovi innocent as was Mark.

I do think we've seen other drivers penalised for less in the past. However as long as the stewards are consistent throughout the rest of the year I'm happy for them to intervene less.
My bad, just seen the latest news. Ok that penalty is wrong and the stewards are as pants as ever.

Oh ok, yeah driving it around with a busted nose and one wheel hanging off was a bit silly! :roll:

RBR would be better off replacing him. If he's fast only during practice rather than on the actual race, demote him as a test driver.

Hey Chaps, don't be such a sour loser. You can see for yourself Webbo self destructs in races he is into. Even if he's riding a slow bike, an SUV still finds time to kiss his knockers off.

from Heiki - “Obviously, my race was very short. Webber had a moment at the first corner and his front wheel hit my left-front. It was a racing accident – these things unfortunately happen.”

See? Heiki's front wheel has a mind of its own.

Like what Shakespeare wrote in his play, don't shoot the messenger.

Great job too by Hamilton to come from 18th on grid to finish in the points, let alone 3rd [following Trulli's penalty]

ditto, i dont like penalties but at least at fuji hamilton didnt even touch anyone!

i think RBR could be a serious threat to the Brawns if they start using double decker diffuser.

Re: Will new diffusers be installed before quali?

The way I understand things, everybody has been trying to develop their gearboxes with the lowest possible CoG, which then could be interfering with a new diffuser?

But on the other hand, today's gearboxes are located between the engine and rear-wheel centerline, where I believe floor must be flat anyway, correct?

scarbs, do you have the inside lane on this subject?

Just woke up and was already watching the replay of most incidents even before I took my first bite of breakfast!

IMHO, I don't agree with the stewards giving a penalty to Vettel. It wasn't Vettel who was "too optimistic" as Kubica says, but the other way 'round! Watching the replay on super slo-mo, it definitley shows that it was too late in the corner for Robert to make a proper turn-in to the corner even if Vettel had braked early. Vettel was still carrying enough speed to fight for the position.

What Robert did was to make the turn-in too early, since he just dismissed the idea that Vettel would fight for the position! This early turn-in of Robert, resulted with the BMW's side-pod hitting the LFW of the Red-Bull. Consequently, this resulted with the "apparent understeer" of the Red Bull to the outside of the corner since that LFW is essentially "locked-up".

Robert obviously thought that "Hey! I'm faster so Seb, you go ahead and roll over for me!", which is just pure horse ---, IMO.

===============================================

And Piquet...he's just a rich kid with a WDC for a dad. Nothing more. I say give other young drivers a chance. <PURE CONSIPRACY THEORY HERE> I think that Nelson Piquet, the elder, has some serious financial inpput into Renault's operations and that is the only reason that his son was even given a race seat <END CONSIPRACY THEORY HERE>

===============================================

What happened to Ferrari? I bet Montezemolo is kicking himself now for not giving the Team Principal's role to Brawn.

Kimi's really losing it now. Massa? I don't know. For sure he didn't shine out there. Remember the open radio talk with Smedley telling him that he has to race like his life depended on it after his second stop because Kimi and Kubica both had 7 laps more fuel than he did? And he did'nt do --- after that.

===============================================

Hamilton! boy was he great out there! Now I wonder, why did all of his overtaking maneuvers looked so clean this time round? If he keeps this up... =D>

===============================================

Alonso? Oddly enough, there wasn't enough action from him. Or was the race director overwhelmed with other battles that he forgot about Alonso?

EDIT: err... i meant F1 TV coverage director...

===============================================

Nico! They sure have problems with the super softs. By the way, I think this "huge difference in tyre performance between two compunds required in a race" thing...I don't dig it right now. It's too much for a single strategist to work with. I though the FIA wanted the teams to reduce the number of people they should be bringing to races? This tyre difference thing will be better, IMO, as soon as they eliminate the refuelling thing and when KERS is already mandatory.

===============================================

Sorry for the long one. </end rant>

They'll all have them eventually, but will have to update the majority of their aero in order to make them work. That's going to take time to get right.

In changing so much aero it could shake up the order again. So those you'd expect to close the most may run into other problems and not gain that much, and others who maybe aren't as strong now will maybe gain more as they change other parts of their car to get a whole that works better than before.

Really? I'm guessing that they don't want their hero to lose the lime-light even though Jenson and Brawn have become the news. I'm glad to say my news sources (BBC and Reuters) are Brawn and Jenson heavy, as it should be as in my opinion, it's a greater achievement.
