If this is true, then looks like Branson is just taking advantage of the team.

250 000 USD per race from Richard Branson? Was this the big sponsorship-coup?

So it would make sense for Brawn to wait, surely?

It seems Virgin are offering less than the norm, and if Brawn's management feel they can get more money, they will find a better offer. And judging by their pace there won't be a shortage of takers..

Agreed! <4.5mil a year is probably a price of a little sticker on a the wing endplates of winning car, not a title sponsor wage. #-o

I agree... Branson is acting like his money is what bought the performance of the Brawn.

After watching the last 2 tests, and Friday practice, he puts his sticker on the cars, and is super proud of HIS team as they quali 1-2.

This is probably the most nauseating part of Australia beyond Vettel's penalty...

How about "NOT Powered by Honda" on the engine cover?

What an excellent as well as enlightning pic, Alejandro! That hub-thing at least looks like being made from an Aluminium-alloy of sorts, where the wheel is mounted on a cone and torque apparently conveyed through large-diameter teeth.
And look at that steep wheel-nut thread, looks almost as if it could be a double-thread?

Gaawd, I love people with attention to detail, this one goes to my engineers tomorrow, perhaps they learn something.

No, the most nauseating thing was watching Eddie Jordan felate Richard Branson live on British TV.

Does this mean that BGP may go the way of super aguri and stop mid season when the cash runs out?
