Slam dunk double waved yellows for Ves there in the end. He didn't take his foot off the gas.

Be curious to see how they're gonna argue against that. They'll probably point to the marshal post and say they didn't wave it earlier, but imo that doesn't let them off the hook. Far from it, in fact.

Exactly. Like mercs wing discrepancy. Why not let that go too?

They asked the same question to Horner
It was hilarious what he answered
What did he say?

This could be the penalty (credit another user)
Bottas - 3 place grid penalty (ignoring single-waved yellow)
Sainz - 3 place grid penalty (ignoring single-waved yellow)
Verstappen - 5 place grid penalty (ignoring double-waved yellow)

It’s actually madness. Does Horner now want no penalties for max because of deciding it on track but for Lewis he should be penalised?

Absolutely, but something is defo in the air re: stewarding . Precedent is out the window and rules are being made as we go, so who knows.
Totally. And you can understand that they don’t want to potentially affect the outcome of the championship, but the rules are the rules and should always be enforced consistently and fairly even if they have ramifications. If this was something that was a cut and dried standard penalty in the third race of the season, for example, it should still be exactly the same in the third from last race in the season. Outside factors such as who is affected and how it alters the bigger picture should not come into the thinking.
But by not doing anything are they also affecting the outcome of the championship?
100%
For instance if Hamilton hadn’t managed to pass Verstappen last week. They got lucky Hamilton was able to make a clean pass. The fallout may have been much uglier if he hadn’t.

You would hope they have learned from that and realised that running away from making the tough but correct call is not the answer.

Only VER has been called to the stewards as it stands. Your interpretation of drivers affected is incorrect it would appear.

More than likely, yet Mercedes got a 3 place penalty for a single waved yellow infringement last season.

Exactly. We are now gone past the realms where black and white matters for all.

If Redbull don't wanted to be affected by stewarding, they should at least not break the rules and that solves the problem. But in the space of 1.5 grand prix weekends:

driving rival off the track
weaving and disregarding stewards
full throttle during double yellows...

Clear disregard for rules and the FIA is just doing everything to cover up Max's unravelling to ensure he becomes champion.
As the stakes get high and the season ends they are getting even more desperate.

What else does this kid need to do to be given a tiny little penalty?
For Sure!!

Interesting, as they are only worried about ignoring double yellow flags now?

If Max gets penatly he should then take new engine and run it in full blast for the last races...as he would easily get up to 3rd tomorrow even with 3 place penalty and 5 place for engine penalty

Well there seems to be some debate about BOT - the yellow might be stationary. VET and ALO aborted and I’m not sure about SAI.
