If FIA doesn't penalise the 3 drivers, they will be a joke.
I don't care if they fight for the championship, they should stop/slow down whatever.
Period.

Their was no indication on the dashboards either, but the flags, panels and the stranded car were clear to see.

Although, iirc, in Russia they issued penalties based on qualifying order, front to back?

So Verstappen would get his penalty first, then Bottas, then Sainz.
That was for engine penalties, it's written in the rules that way.
Does that include Gio's gearbox penalty (i.e. penalties for part replacement are different to driver infringements)?
It's seperate ... it's all a bit of a confusing mess as well.

Check sporting regs 36.3 on page 39
c) Once the grid has been established in accordance with a) and b) above, grid position penalties will be applied to the drivers in question in the order the offences were committed. If, following the qualifying practice session, more than one driver incurs a penalty under Article 23.2b) or Article 23.4a) preference will be given to the driver whose Competitor first informed the Technical Delegate that a power unit or gearbox change will be carried out.
d) Any driver required to start the race from the back of the grid after incurring a penalty
under Article 23.2b) will be arranged on the grid behind any driver penalised under c)
above.
If more than one driver is required to start the race from the back of the grid they will be
arranged in qualifying order
23.2b) is the number of places they have to drop for PU elements
23.4a) is gearboxes

That section also answers the question i posed myself (marked bold)

I just pray it shuts up all those FIA-RedBull conspiracy theories. Would be truly nice to not see posters flood the race threads with that trash.
It's funny, because as an impartial fan, I see just as many people suggesting FIA-Merc conspiracy theories!!
Favourite driver: Lando Norris
Favourite team: McLaren

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

So it'd be Vestappen (+5) 7th, Bottas (+3) 6th, Sainz (+3) 10th.

I mostly see the Mercedes performance/aero/engine conspiracies, on the other hand, the thread is flooded with posts insinuating that Mercedes is the underdog being punished unfairly but the FIA tyrants who are reluctant to punish Red Bull.

Yea. If they penalize them.

edit: as SiLo has pointed out to me this might be wrong.

It is crazy how it transformed from “they’re too quick” to a gap of 4.5 tenths in two weeks. It can’t be just an ICE change.
You realize the ICE change comes with a change in power mode too right? This engine is optimized for the last 4 races. it is obviously what is going on. It is running closer to party mode right now. Maybe Redbull and Honda should have done the same thing. Otherwise, it is likely check mate for Mercedes. Hamilton looks untouchable right now.
According to Fabrega, Hamilton didn’t use the Brazil engine in Qatar

I dont see a penalty for Bottas.
Merc can argue that he had a yellow S3 despite the Monster tow of Alonso at start finsh straight. Or do they check mini sectors?

I had only access to live timing but the yellow was gone almost immediately. What happened there?

The marshall in the vicinity had his/her own ideas and was waving away.
