Don’t know how to properly share the tweet.
Craig Slater saying I can show you this still frame of a green light.

1. This was illuminated throughout all qualifying, go checked the highlights, Q1, Q2 & Q3. I only think green flags/lights are shown after a yellow/double yellow. Not all practice/qualifying/race.

2. The light is in the pit lane. It’s either the pit lane open light (although I think that’s much earlier) or the FIA weigh bridge light. Flashes a driver number to stop to be weighed, otherwise green.
Proof if it’s ever needed they know nothing about the sport they comment on.

Something has just dawned on me.

If Verstappen is behind characters like Alonso who now know that pushing wide is allowed he may find he has a VERY long afternoon.
I agree, Like you said, characters, with an s, multiple. He is also behind a character like Hamilton who knows (see Turkey) that pushing wide is allowed. So yes, I expect a very hard race indeed.
Yeah but Hamilton is different. If they both go out it’s a net gain for Verstappen.

So basically they have given the smallest issuable penalty for Max then? This really brings things in disrepute.

They screwed up, no panels lit, in a night race...
In my, albeit limited experience, the marshal flags are more visible in a night race. 2 reasons: Firstly, marshal posts are included in the lighting requirements; they are the primary safety mechanism and must be visible at all times. Secondly, with little light falling outside of the track, there is no background distraction behind the flag; they markedly stand out, being bright yellow against a dark background.

Alonso doesn't hate Hamilton. The only time they've been on track competitively in recent years was Hungary and Alonso had a very clear mission; to protect Ocon's win.

I'd very much doubt he'd be biased one way or another outside of protecting his own or his team's interests. With that in mind his only mission will be to get ahead of Gasly.

Meh, if there's evidence of the ridiculous mishap from Stewards clearing the track hastily because they wanted to let max finish his lap, then they have already given him and the others a perfect get-out 'sorry lads, this one is on us. sorry we confused you'

aint no penalties gonna come lol if it does I'll eat my hat. Im sure they will probably wash this all away to protect the championship (funny how they always protect the championship leader at the moment)

lets see.

True however I wouldn’t put it past him to make a point with Verstappen.

2 and a half hours to the start of the race and there is still no decision of the Fia. What a joke is this?

I beg to differ.

for one, Alonso and Max are VERY close off track. Max idolised Alonso. Alonso knows he has a fan in Max.

Alonso on the other hand, has had hardly anything good to say in Hamiltons direction in the press conferences, or in the media elsewhere. In fact, he cannot keep Hamilton out of his mouth. He is probably still pissy about HAM capsizing his career in 07, and HAM bragging about it to Max in that press conference a couple of years back.

Alonso jest that he helped max Win in Hungary, but it is also the truth; he does want Max to win the title, that bias is real. I'm sure he's professional enough to race for positions but he is also human enough to have his own bias and not impede max unless he has to or can't get away with making it too obvious.

Decision is already made, just not published yet. Teams now know how to approach the race.

He will defend if he gets a chance and if it is beneficial to the team. Like he did in Russia. Like all drivers do.

I’ve said it over and over again. F1 should have the same stewards every race. Get them on season long contracts.

Lol, Alonso and Hamilton are generally very complimentary of each other and indeed Alonso was one of the first to personally go and congratulate Hamilton on his 2014 win.

Alpine and Alpha Tauri have a huge (relatively) battle going on in the WCC and anything else will be secondary to both teams. If anything though, there is absolutely no love lost between Alpine and Red Bull so I'd hardly expect them to be doing each other favours.

I agree.
We need a consistent approach for all incidents throughout the whole year.
The drivers deserve this, as does the public.
