Why Max doesn't know how to pass a driver or the Red Bull has only 3 wheels ? We will see the standing after the last run.

So Sainz escapes penalty because he lifted just before the line, though he did go full beans through the waved yellow like Bottas did. Odd decision that, though I guess it does keep Max on the clean side of the grid, rather than being promoted back up to 6th but on the dirty side. Silver lining.

Hamilton with Gasly next to him and Alonso behind him - I bet he's not overly happy about that as neither have much to loose chucking one up the inside or trying to hang around the outside in T1. He could be P3 out of T1 and a DNF isn't out of the question with P2 - P4 all looking for some glory.

Depends on who HAM chooses to give the tow to I guess

Thanks! Well I guess the telemetry doesn’t lie. I suppose there was less riding on it for Sainz so he was probably more likely to lift off.

I can absolutely understand it being more of a conflict for Bottas and Verstappen.

I'd put good money on Alonso being 1st into turn 1 given how fast the Alpine is in a straight line

Alonso is usually very good in the starts anyway and often makes up places. The question is: will he give Hamilton the option of "I pass or we crash"? And will Gasly? Hamilton will have to back out of any situation that might result in damage / DNF and both of the others know it. He might just have to sit and wait for their soft tyres to go off, which might be quite quickly if Alonso and Gasly are racing each other.

2014 was very different because he got beat 4 times consecutively by Vettel and as he suggested twice in the media, Vettel was unproven outside of the red bull, and he even went as far as saying he thinks HAM is the better driver between them. That’s how pissy he was about Vettel dominating the sport when he felt he had the sport-and the paddock- by the ass. But Vettel and ham saw his reign end very quick.

Now that HAM has dominated for nearly twice as many seasons, the old wily fox is back at his envy having opinions about anyone looking like the man other than himself.

Let me ask this, you think that:

a) Hamilton is not better than Seb
b) Hamilton actualy is better than Vettel, but you think Alonso speaking the truth proves his bias

Claiming this today is quite shocking sicerely. Several years later Vettel didn´t prove himself out of RBR, and Lewis won 6 more titles, so obviously Alonso´s opinion was quite accurate, like it or not
