The window to pit him was 5 laps ago. It would have stopped Verstappen being able to now pit for fastest lap and keep 3rd place because he was actually losing time to Perez anyway.

Backmarkers didn't noticeably influence gap between max and lewis. Was around 8s, still is 8s.

He's 6.3s outside top 10 and some will probably pit again now that we've seen tyre can go boom. If he's tenth they'll probably go for it anyway. net gain/loss is zero.

The way to fix it is to pit Hamilton on Yellows now and then push Verstappen into a 1 stopper. The problem there is that nobody would give up track position.

Will Max win on ‘wins’ if it’s a tie? They were defo more dominant during the season but I don’t know if Ham can pull it back if he wins all the remaining races
