they have never been particularly brilliant, its the car and at least 1 driver that make the team shine, not strategists, that's for sure
Yup. It’ll go to race wins which Verstappen will be leading 9-8 IF Hamilton wins the next two. So the fastest lap point is crucial as it’ll determine how they may get to the last race. Whoever is leading will have a nice advantage and can get the elbows out a bit more.
What I found interesting was that there was a cameraman right next to him to capture the angle of the Mercedes coming into the pits. I wonder if it’s a thing now where it’s accepted all the teams do it anyway, so they just have a mechanic there who looks out for the cameraman?Tizz wrote: ↑21 Nov 2021, 16:59Literally ALL the teams do that...Just_a_fan wrote: ↑21 Nov 2021, 16:46Noticed one of the Red Bull mechanics standing out at the corner of their box as Hamilton pitted. Looked to be a deliberate ploy to mess his exit slightly.
Nah. It won’t come to that assuming 1-2 finishes for both drivers the rest of the way. They’ll either be level- ish entering the last race or if Verstappen wins this or Saudi then it’s a pretty large gap.InsaneX_Badger wrote: ↑21 Nov 2021, 17:15I can see verstappen winning by a point by the end of the season by how these fastest laps go
Depends if red bull pit second to last lap for softs, then i dont see hamilton being able to match on his mediums. But given hamiltons pace this weekend it's not completely unthinkable it could happen.Just_a_fan wrote: ↑21 Nov 2021, 17:17Will Hamilton be able to take back FL from Max? Or will it need to be Bottas trying it on softs?
