FYI Ricciardo had fuel saving warning from lap 1 on and had to fuel save for much of the race. Shitty luck.
Sensor, or too little fuel put in somehow? Yeah, no wonder he was so slow then, that's no way to fight.

So that’s us 4th, but it’s a really good championship in my opinion. We’ve got a pole and a race win, have moved closer to the front, raced well with our historical rivals Ferrari.

All of this remember, whilst being restricted on optimising our new Mercedes PU partnership, which I really hope leads us to a nice gain next year as we start the new regs.

We have been given clarity on our weakness- front end in particular against the very best teams- and of course a bit more mechanical grip for those slow burner corners where so much time can be lost or gained.

Exciting to head into the new regs with this platform and to see what James Key and our technical team can do.

Yes less prize money, but on the flipside more CFD and wind tunnel time than Ferrari, Red Bull and Mercedes until at least July 2022, which will be instrumental in getting onto of the the new regs with practical experience.

Just watched the race.
Wow Mclaren definitely used all of their luck up to secure P3 last season.
Since getting the only 1-2 so far this season in Monza- if it can go wrong - it has gone wrong for Mclaren.
First race in 4 races where we’ve had at least one car quicker than the Ferraris and Ferrari manage to still out score Mclaren.

I’m pretty sure both Ferrari drivers are going to put score land in the championship table too.

It’s not the best form to be taking into the new reg cars for new season.....🙈

Form out of the window next season - all about our development team getting the new car right and optimised. They’ve been pretty good so far and of course get their first opportunity to optimise the rear of the car around the Merc power unit which is a massive help next year compared to this

Probably not a sensor as they would know exactly how much they started with and what has been used.

The Daniel's race is horrendous
Not wrong! He was doing well enough on the mediums, but his pace evaporated on the hard tires.

Lando seemed to struggle on the hard tires too.

Frustrating race result all around. 😣

Seems the new engine Dan fitted has encountered nothing but issues.

Entered rapid fuel saving mode from lap 1 as the engine was burning a ridiculous amount of fuel.

What a joke. Also the cracked chassis for Dan should have been diagnosed prior to last week's race don't know how the fd that up. Could have been in with a chance for 3rd. Horrid luck last 3 races.

Need to focus on next year now. At least we get more cfd and wind tunnel time.

Hurry up with that damn wind tunnel and sim!! Theve been saying it's going to take 2 years to build for the last 18 months

McLaren did nothing wrong. Daniel was just slow as sh*t. Lando was onto an easy 5th before he got a puncture.
Before ranting maybe you should check why he drove so slowly today.

Did they not put enough fuel in the car?

Jeez, it’s almost like the racing God’s decided that he used up all his luck in Monza. 🤦‍♂️

Not only Dan, lando had had ridiculous bad luck too with the punctures . Had we got what we deserved these last two races we would have bee ahead of Ferrari. Dan obviously has had thr lions share and landos messily 1-2 points basically count for nothing.

Can't wait till this year is over. It's clear they stopped developing the car extremely early

Wonder why they didn't retire Dans car and save the engine. Apparently he asked about doing it because there was no point driving around 2 secs off the pace.

Interesting to note too Dan and Vettel said they couldn't see where the corner was going into T1 at the start with all the dust etc.

Dan's onboard start. he got sandwiched pretty hard too and almost collided with Russell and one of the Alfas

Vettels onboard start

Before trying to act like a smartas* maybe check when the post was made.

I had no information on his problems at that point, and he was indeed slow as sh*t. So I don't see what's your problem.
