2021 Qatar Grand Prix - Losail, Nov 19-21

The fact finding mission is done by the FIA. They have measured all cars. Will do so again the last 2 races and then all cars must pass the test. Now it was Just a base line measurement as they called it. Who or who has not passed the test was not published and was of no consequence to the Qatar race. Mercedes published themselves as posted above by Dans.

All cars passed the test, otherwise they would have been disqualified.

They haven't brought any major upgrades, just little stuff, like this weekend they had slightly different fins on the upper surface of the floor.

Yes you are right, they were done in addition to the normal tests which is why they aren't listed in any of the scrutineering reports. Which is annoying as it's difficult find an official source for the results. I heard on the coverage of the race someone mentioned they passed, but I can't find anything in writing unfortunately.

that's what I heard too.. rumours are rumours though.. although they tend to have weight in the Paddock.

I don't see why the FiA don't come out and debunk any bulls* I mean, they're a 'neutral' party to the competition, but why allow a competitor to run with big mouths and lots of hocus pocus to hurt another competitor?

Any of you lot that have noted during quali whenever the camera's were pointing towards the pitbox where the cars are parked, the RB garage had like 4 guys lined up along the front jack forming up a wall like defending freekicks in football game, blocking the views of the car?

I was wondering if the same occurred when the camera's were pointing in the Merc pitbox?

Mercedes did, I think, send a mechanic out to the edge of their pitbox as well. It's pretty standard though and all the teams seem to do it, despite them officially not being allowed to- I believe. Bit like how in football the manager isn't allowed outside their technical area although they all leave it all the time.

And to be fair, the RB (and others) mechanics were all within their pit area, so they are only in the way if the car drives into their pit rig anyway.

Yeah this is what Toto said during his Media talk after the race.
And would be strange and double standards that all of a sudden everyone has to change something on the rearwing on short notice. Bendy Wings saga and directive execution lasted several months. And was shifted initially from Baku to Paul Ricard.

I would like to see it again with more ‘correct’ track limits (two wheels on the circuit at all times, the circuit being defined by the white line at the edge of the intended track), I think that it would be significantly harder for the drivers.
