It looked more like Hammi wasn't told yet he could pass....
I agree.
Masi is the issue. He is unfortunately out of his depth, and should be replaced asap. He is NOT biased but incompetent.

VER needs to learn how to accept defeat and winning. Spoilt little boy!

Crazy seeing journalists openly saying Max crossed the line and that they're hoping he doesn't win the title now.

That's how far Max has fallen today with his conduct/racing.

I respected Max going into today. Not anymore.
Sky are fumbling over their words trying not to favour one driver or another. It's a bit of a mess

I can’t see any reason for Verstappen to worry with the stewards there.

Staying neutral here, I'm confident Max was positioning himself for that immediate repass into 27 and unaware that Lewis had not yet been informed about the position swap. A misunderstanding more than dirty driving.

Defending into turn 1, both those moves were over the top and far too aggressive, clearly he had to hand over the position both times and the eventual penalty was earned, you can't keep defending by just cutting the track. That said the 2nd restart going from 3rd to 1st up the inside was brilliant.

Lewis drove a superb race to overcome losing the lead under red flag and I'm very glad he took the chequered flag ahead rather than the race being decided by that 5 second penalty.

I wonder if the bookies are taking a senna prost t1 next week?
That's the thing. Verstappen knows that if Hamilton fails to finish then he wins the championship. If they both fail to finish then he wins the championship. He will put his car in dangerous positions knowing that Hamilton has to yield.

He is being called to the stewards for brake checking, so it's a slam dunk fact, they have the braking traces they can see an event that doesn't fit with the sporting code.
Did you watched the race?

You have to wonder how much Massi constantly being on the phone to Red Bull pit wall influenced his erroneous decision to let RB know about Maxs instructions before letting Merc know, not leavibg enough time to have both drivers with the right info at the right time.

I haven't seen the slow Mo yet but it almost looks like from Lewis's onboard that right before contact I can see Max's brake lights!

I did, and where they had slowed and all of a sudden that gap closes and ham dives to avoid. That's brake checking.

Don't ask me, max has been called to the stewards for poor cunduct in relation to on track brake checking.

Doesn't matter what your opinion is, they have the data, they clearly want to talk to the driver.

If that wasn't the case and max didn't brake check, why would the stewards call it into question?

And to think that this could have been a TOTALLY undramatic race after the first red flag, had it not been for Verstappens illegal overtake at the restart after the first lap. Lewis would then have sailed away. So the reason for having such crazy races is mostly down to Max himself, not conducting himself properly in the fights.

The main problem is Michael Masi. He is incompetent, people lose the jobs every day for far less significant reasons.

Even more, Max just admitted in interviews he braked while looking in the mirror to get him to go by.
