What do you think is the correct way forwards? Hydrogen? I know Toyota is still researching that a lot.

I prefer Biofuels... Waste - Food & Garden the most obvious... Excess Crops etc...

How plausible does this sound when you consider the amounts of fuel the world uses?

Very plausible... The amounts of human waste is Astronomical... The problem is that it's not profitable enough and Automakers are not directly involved...

Current fossil fuel production can also be done much "cleaner" if the political will is there... Again money is at the heart of the problem (Most Politicians are Corrupt).

Sure... until you use the fuel...

Yes, the ICE car will be lighter at the end of the stage, but they will both be built with a similar total mass in mind.

Audi's failure of a single car was pure bad luck, to suggest it was related it to a battery vehicle when Sainz is still running well and just scored a stage victory is just trolling.

What privilege do you use to label it a troll?

Batteries are heavy. Race cars are power:weight dependant.

All the excess biomass (waste + dedicated cultivation, which is much more than is used now) together can cover just a bit over the fuel demand of aerospace alone. There is no way it will cover road demand. And with limited possible supply, it is best to use it whrre batteries are most inadequate: flight and heavy long-haul transport, and materials (we still need carbon atoms); electric works fine for regular cars. But there is another thread for this discussion, let's not get it tangled up with Dakar.
