Does anybody know why the Barcelona test is apparently behind closed doors?

I’m unsure also why it’s behind closed doors, but it is what it is!
Who has already confirmed what they will drive?
Does anyone have more info I may have missed?
So far it appears Alpine will drive the tyre test mule car with their new power plant. So no 2022 car there to see.

This gossip can be read on several F1 sites. I found this one on italy24news.com:

To date we have had direct confirmation from the racetrack that the public will not be admitted and even journalists, photographers and TVs should not have access to the circuit.

All this because the Bahrain would have “bought” the exclusive rights. As confirmed in Monday’s press conference, the public, journalists, photographers and even TVs will be attending Sakhir to document, for the first time ever, the track tests of the new F1 2022 single-seaters

Well...what do we miss except the nice pics from Scrabs?
There will certainly be some spy shots, some times but still the times or details are not telling anything. 2014 we saw the Merc rotating like a clock, but did anyone estimate the dominance for 8 years to come? Now they will definitely come with a car full of sandbags anyways, nothing to see. RedBull did not run at all in the first test 2014 but was just extinguishing fires...still they ended on P2 on the constructors in the first year...
The test in Bahrain will be the more interesting one to analyse, there we will see first sector times where we will have glimpses of real speed.

I am pretty sure they will do it, or at least, use a camara with an enormous zoom.

Then they should upload it but not on youtube, there videos will be deleted by rights owners, need another platform for it

Tbh, I never left. But I wanted to be on the sidelines for a while. But I knew Honda would do it

I will talk with the Barcelona Circuit admin to see what we can do for the tests

I hate circuits like Bahrein and so on, always throwing money only to have exclusives and going against fans who can't travel there to see the new cars. So disgusting if it's true...

Bahrain F1 promoters have paid a lot of money for cars to be fully track revealed in Bahrain.
