What's going on ahead of the rear wheel?

The car looks weirdly round-ish ... also the first car without a flat nose?

Yeah, the most rounded nose top. And they abandoned the Merc style roll hoop intake.

Huge sidepod inlets compared to other cars, but small sidepods. Huge front brake ducts, fat front susspension elements, simple front wing. I have to say, I am not impressed, but this can change if it is fast.

Interesting nose shape. Almost indycar like

Wow, that's one slim engine.

From my amateur eyes, sidepods similar to McLaren but without the cannon cooling exhaust.

I would say extremely tight packaging. Might be the angle though, but it looks like there is practically nothing behing sidepods.

Also a huge thumbs up for their nose. Extra time for windtunnell testing is aparently paying off.
If i would get the money to start my own F1 team, i would revive Arrows

They shrunk the sidepods so much that even the side low crash structure is protruding from the body.

Looks like they've moved cooling items in to the spine and out of the sidepods. This has given them small sidepods and lots of floor space ahead of the rear axle.
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

The shape of the roll-hoop cover is different too. Maybe they changed their centerline cooling layout... their previous one was similar to Merc and AM and was placed quite flat above Gbox

With this and the Mclaren, we can get a better idea of the cooling requirements / packaging of the Merc PU.

Still processing what’s going on with this car though.
