That was the first thing I saw, at first I thought it was some odd shadow from his laces, but when zooming in, it was strange that they didn't just get him to stand on the X to cover it

the x is just a guide of where he needs to be approximately to get the focus and so on right (with the key light)

its not there to say "you must stand on it"

that being said, Im surprised they didn't bother to photoshop that. It would've literally taken a few minutes.

How long will this last

It's nice to see two talents working together at such different stages of their career. For their sakes, they need to keep it respectful and clean and I've no doubt Mercedes will manage them as effectively as possible, although Lauda is sorely missed for speaking on their level.

There is absolutely no reason for Mr corporate to beat Lewis. He can follow and be quick when needed and the team will see from the telemetry he is the real deal. Than they will inform Lewis that time for him to go retire and let the new generation take over.

This will be such a great team, EIther driver can win the championship and the nation will be proud. A new king in George, or the outright record with 8 for Lewis. Either will be just perfect! Go Team Mercedes! 2 English drivers, Car designed and built in England, Engine designed and built in England.

How many times has that happened before ? Driver, Car , Engine all made in 1 country ? Lewis/Mercedes , Lewis/MclarenMercedes , Was the Brawn partly designed/built in Japan ? I think it was only the original engine (Honda) that was japan, before they switched to the Brixworth unit. So Jenson/Brawn/Mercedes. Hunt/mclaren/DFV
