Mercedes W13

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Incredibly tight packaging, possibly the tightest we've seen so far? Also, can anyone see the rear pull/push rod on the real car?

EDIT: Found the pull rod!
Looks push on the front and pull on the back.

The wavy rear-wing looks cool. Reminds me of Haas' weird Monza spec in 2016:

Perfect visualisation of managing the tyre wake with that sidepod fence and "flat shape"

Pitot's on the top of the floor ready for the test. Seems like that's the floor that they will start with......

Looks like maybe it is part of the rear view mirror mount which could skirt the rules on vanes? Not sure on exact legality though sorry.

I'd remove the "render" pictures, the car is completely different, it's not even close.

Are those officially released renders?
yup

If you look, it connects to the mirror, so it counts as a mirror support.

Seems like something for most teams to copy, clever. Wonder whether the 'missing' stay on the presentation McLaren will be similar.

And let's see if it is one of those surprises Brawn was talking about.
