The Brake Duct 2022 a new challenge there is no longer the dissipation of heat towards the outside of the wheel, which leads to "sealing" the entire affected area.
Here we can see how #Mercedes on the # W13 built it (highlighted) inlet and outlet ducts # TechF1 # F1

inlet and outlet ducts being sealed, the Brake Duct must increase their efficiency in terms of heat dissipation, for this we see a hub body that has no openings (center).
(evidenziati) condotti d'entrata e uscita essendo sigillate le Brake Duct devono aumentare la loro efficienza in termini di smaltimento calore, per questo vediamo un corpo mozzo che non presenta aperture (centro). #TechF1 #F1 @Alessio_DeMarco
I'm italian and it is written in a very bad way, the transaltion is still accurate but has no sense also in the native language (at least to me). The only part missing in the translation is the first bracket that is: (highlited)AeroDynamic wrote: ↑25 Feb 2022, 18:19Can someone translate the Italian? I don't think we can rely on a virtual translator.

I'd be willing to bet most of the significant/most beneficial changes will be on the underside of the floor, and that a lot of people will be in for a big let down at the next round of testing!
McLaren said the same, they have a lot of upgrades in the pipeline.
Size and placement makes me think it's their duct for driver cooling. Merc aren't running the duct from the nose like Aston, RB and Ferrari so may be taking it from the t-tray? Not sure thoughAeroDynamic wrote: ↑25 Feb 2022, 16:22https://imgr1.auto-motor-und-sport.de/G ... 876839.jpg
Interesting. I don't recall this on the floor before. It is new? an opening in the tea tray area. just what might that device be up to..
