Ducaty factory team will run last year's engines in this season. They tested the new one in both pre-season tests but even though riders were happy with more power that was available to them they didn't like how agressive power delivery was.

So I imagine if Suzuki has solved their top speed issues, they're favorites for 2022!

Commentators said that their top speed isn't because of horsepower rather than because of the rear holeshot device working brilliantly!! Interesting...

-Honda looks good as all their riders were up there!
-KTM top out of nowhere...
-Morbidelli looks to be back to his old best!
-Is Ducati sandbagging or are they in trouble already??

Epic season coming up... :D

I think he said that their factory team riders prefered 2021 engine over 2022 one but it not because of that their 2022 engine is bad. it is just because of that it suits better to factory riders riding style.

They had holeshot last year too. I think we need to add engine power to speed coming from holeshot device but I don't have any knowledge about their engine.
I also think( and hope too ) that Honda are doing good this year. But I want to see race before any conclusion.

Simon Crafar attributed a significant part of the Suzuki increase in top speed to aero advances, although admittedly from poor TV coverage view they look more bulbous around the radiator inlet.
which can be an optical illusion due to increased convex radius curvature, something which has become prevalent on F1/LMP bodywork over the years.
Obviously their power has improved substantially.
Congratulations to all manufacturers with the only deficit in the field being the Yamaha engine power.

The question of ride height (holeshot/corner exit) devices being banned is being addressed at a meeting of the Grand Prix Commission at Losail, apparently.

"The future of MotoGP’s ride height adjustment devices could be even shorter than initially anticipated amid rising calls from riders to ban the technology on safety grounds, with a meeting of the rulemaking body the Grand Prix Commission called at this weekend’s season-opening Qatar Grand Prix for the series’ six manufacturers to discuss what happens next.
It’s believed that Ducati will present a proposal to postpone any threatened ban on at least the front ride height devices – but will be countered by the other five manufacturers who want the systems removed from the championship as soon as possible."

A worthwhile read for the important and relevant details - https://the-race.com/motogp/partial-ban ... ng-agenda/

Watching the qualifying .. pretty soon Marc Marquez will crash into someone badly due to his way of qualifying . Use of slip stream from faster bike always will hopefully not result in some one ending their riding career. He seems to be doing it more often after he came back from injury. Guess it will become a talking point between riders.

It is perfectly legal and he is doing it since a long time so, why he will crash now. Maybe you should try to hide bias for a certain rider
We need a miracle. We need only one racing lap.

re Qatar GP
Congratulations to Enea Bastianini, skill and youth win today.
And the Gresini team, a wonderful and emotional result for Fausto's widow, Nadia Padovani, after Fausto's passing.

The televised telemetry, if true, showed an interesting difference between the works Honda of Marquez and Bastainini with the Honda having more conservative settings on throttle.
