McLaren MCL36

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

They've been working on those brakes for a long time! Overheating wasn't an issue in Barcelona. Are they applying temporary fixes at this stage? So that Lando can complete some laps. Are we waiting for new brakes to arrive in the meantime?

From Barcelona, impossible to see where the air goes though

*Edit*

Here's a better picture, definitely no "intakes"

It's an interesting take, instead of tea tray folding itself into a tunnel just make a tunnel from the beggining.

Still can't tell if the air that passes in between the tea tray and the tunnel goes inside to cool something off or if it's pushed into towards the undercut, i think it's the second option based merely in my assumption/perception that they have "enough" cooling but can't say it really.

McLaren is waiting eagerly for parts from England to solve the issue with overheating brakes. The new parts hopefully arrive in time for the last testing day tomorrow. Before that, the car is not able run a race distance. #AMuS #F1
