Mercedes W13

Looks like some floor has been cut away in front of the rear tyre. Not a big change from what I see. Probably just one designed solely to reduce porpoising, similar to cutouts in other teams' floors

Perhaps couldn't get that new floor ready in time for race 1
There may be a small change to the crease above the tunnel edge (although that could be just how the light is making it look).

People seem to be thinking that there would be a complete overhaul of the floor to combat issues discovered in Bahrain testing. In one week….
Who knows, but until we see FP1 and the behaviour of the car...the changes we do see cannot be dismissed as readily you suggest. The raised rear outter floor section definitely will have ramifications on allowing a lower ride height. Something they were affected by in testing when running "low"(porpoising).

Russell's floor is different

Not surprising. Running the two floors at the same time gives them back to back comparison data.
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

The small flip-up is present on the car with the aero rake attached, I am assuming that is a comparison shot from testing?

That photo shows the same floor as the others

Is Hamilton (who’s running the different floor) bouncing less or more?

When you consider how tight the belts are, for GR to be moving that much really highlights how bad the porpoising is.

They aren't designing and building a new floor in 5 days. This will be something that has been under development for weeks. Maybe it wasn't ready to bring to Bahrain, or maybe they ran a simpler/earlier spec floor for strategic reasons.
It couldn't have been to long, as it's specifically suppose to help deal with porpoising. And none of the teams knew about that till Barcelona. Thus at most they had ~3 weeks to design, build, and ship it to Bahrain. That would be an exceptional accomplishment if its a completely new floor. I personally think it will be a modified version of what we saw in Bahrain!
I also think it’s going to be a modified version. Similar to what other teams brought to Bahrain testing.

It looked more stable all around compared to testing

Still looks quite heavy though. Lots of different testing programs around the field.

That's Hamilton (new helmet), something broke off Russel's car on the straight some 10 minutes ago.
Is Mercedes gonna try to survive like this?

I think they have a new floor(small cut on the edges).
