It's just 4 tenths to P4, but I have to admit, even though its just 4 tenths, a P4 looks a lot better than a P11.

Gotta wait for tomorrow though.
NOR did not use DRS for that lap.
Why though?

Also, technical issues for Daniel. Very unfortunate.

I don't know, but they are on the back foot after missing so much of testing, I think we will not see from them a angry lap untill Qualy tomorrow.

I know we dont know fuel loads and engine modes but lando us on a long run lapping in the 39's and max is also on a long run on the same tyre running in the low 37's, I really hope we aren't 2 seconds a lap slower on long pace.

So Lando is 4 tenths off, purple in the middle sector and not using DRS....

What tyres? Sounds like a fast lap.

What a shame for Dan, water leak, don't know what to make of this session. Hopefully just the usual anonymous Friday.

Not sure where you saw that.
He didn't use on his long run using softs, which was shown on TV, while his best lap was done on a 1 lap run, which I believe drs was used. (Wasn't shown on sky at least).

Regarding engines, it actually looks like Ferrari are turned down, or run higher downforce.
Ferrari constantly around 310 on speed traps while Verstappen was around 317

I don't know what to make out of today. Will hold from jumping to conclusions until after qualifying tomorrow.

Same against Ferrari, Leclerc running low 37’s on mediums on his long runs… But, this is still practice and the team could be running to a lap time to keep learning about the car… I doubt there is a 2 second difference in race pace, that is just a bit too much

I hope this is not a true resemblance of our pace or I will be very disappointed. Let’s just wait until qualifying and see where we stand..

It would be absolutely shocking if this car can actually make up 1 or 2 tenths in sections with faster corners. And then lose almost 1.5 in the rest of the track.

In terms of long run pace, it's not looking good right now. Laptimes are underwhelming.

However, Alonso is absolutely flying on the Alpine. Almost matching Max and Charles. I am enjoying the prospect of a possible return to form for Alonso.

We won't know until Qualifying really. Probably going to take a couple of races to catch up to the rest in terms of fully understanding the package.

Just hope its the case of what Mclaren did numerous times last year by being slow on friday and then dialing in the setup for FP3 then doing well in quali, who can forget Lando's statement in Imola last year where he thought they would struggle to get to Q3 and he nearly put it on pole.

It was purple at the time others went a bit faster after. Lando made a mistake in S3 as well

Eh, Sainz was running mid 38's on softs in his short stint at the end. Very likely a high fuel run. I don't think McLaren will be that far off tomorrow or Sunday, same with Alpine.
