RedBull might also sand bag in qualifying too, the way Mercedes did in 2014.

If Perez doesn't qualify well tomorrow though, the two Ferraris can tag team Max with strategy.

How can you measure how much more power there is left in another car?

Hard to figure the Mercs...still gotta figure sandbagging (based on rep., exp., past perf.). However, if so, Toto deserves an oscar as he looked genuinely worried...with Horner looking calm and totally unconcerned in FP2 when Checo sat in the garage. I never saw Bino.

As for power modes...I wonder if we would not have a better show if they were banned. Drivers can of course use their right foot to alter modes. Personally, I would rather see genuine pace and set up activities rather than Toto and Horner playing poker.

Depends how much Checo gets on with the new car. The last one was well suited to Max's driving style of getting the back end to come round into the corner. This season might be different in being you need to be more smoother and less 'attack' so could play into his hands well.

I strongly think checo has been on a different programme to Max in terms of working out race pace, tyre deg etc. As max being the harder driver typically means the car can be tweaked for the faster running, whilst checo can be the 'smooth guy' doing the longer runs and tyre deg runs.

With DRS Mercedes can delay the purpoising, without DRS it starts at around 270+ that won't be raceable(i think), how can you come into the braking zone bouncing up and down like that.

Those people putting all these stats together just surprises me, team are running on a different program and it’s a new regulation so using past events to judge who is faster or who will win show we don’t know racing. Merc could also be on poll tomorrow because they have a good engine. Everyone banking on Redbull may be surprised.
