That’s a silver lining… It wasn’t talked much, but McLaren is supposed to have a new / innovative pit stop equipment (the guns themselves)
At present we have to take any wins we can. If the car is running poorly, it’s good to see other areas are in good shape
Am i reading the 2021 Williams team thread?
Is your sarcastic comment adding any value?

management needs to withhold the urge to go Ferrari of old scorched earth campaign and begin drop kicking people left and right, need to put the no blame culture they have built into practice.
There are no signs from the team that anything of the sort is at play… It’s one bad weekend… Way too early for that to be on the table

Agreed this isn’t Premier League football of just hiring and firing! Let’s just hope the team can get on top of their issues ASAP

The last 6 cars right now are all on Mercedes engines. Is there any way for Merc to fix it's PU to better handle the new fuel now that the freeze is in place or is their engine now a dog for 4 seasons?

Looks like Norris will go for a new soft at the end.

If we're very lucky, we get a SC :D.

Surely the engine is not the main problem? I mean Aston and Williams were not exactly expected to do that well, and McLaren well ....

Form fastest car at test day 1 to 3rd slowest at race 1. Maybe it goes also the other way.

The signs were there in Barcelona, the third sector times were awful so it’s clear they were running light. Lando’s comment after that they were on a different plan to others confirmed that really

Now, if the car was not a dog - Lando could have a chance to go ahead.

Oh boy, Red Bulls are lucky.

Lol… Very true… Why is Lando pitting? I guess nothing to lose really

Hope the team has gotten a lot of data from this race and will help them improve the car towards future races… At this point, I just want the team to complete the race

So both cars now have a relatively fresh soft. Unfortunately we seem slow.

But maybe if we are lucky the cars can show some pace and go a bit forward.

Yeah I guess the distance between the cars was so big that Norris did not get ahead of anyone pitting. So a free pitstop.

Not the main problem but A problem, read a comment on reddit, shades of last year with ferrari and its customers, they were 3rd fastest cars and their customers at the back just like now, Merc 3rd fastest and customers at the back, anecdotal but a neat symmetry.
