Mate red bull struggled to fight off Ferrari while there was a drag disparity between how much wing both cars ran. The Ferrari had more wing. If both cars reduce wing level in Jeddah, who’s going to have more power? Surely the Ferrari. Probably doesn’t matter if Red Bull fix their engine or turn it down.

They might have to worry about Mercedes if they turn their engines down and Mercedes unlock more pace at that circuit.
There was way more to the LEC / VER battle than just wing levels, making such statements after just one race is a little early.

They keep changing tracks to accommodate drivers that can't keep it on track. First eu rouge and now Jeddah. They should leave these circuits alone, the challenge is supposed to be that – A challenge!
Unless the “challenge” implies a high level of risk of an accident / injury… They aren’t doing these changes based on drivers that can’t keep it on track, they are based on potential outcomes if something goes wrong… These changes (like Eau Rouge) are safety based and should be welcomed as such.

I'm not really sure that the last corner is one of the dangerous ones on the circuit though. Surely it is the blind left rights where Ham almost was hit by a HAAS are the more worrying?

Exactly, those are the ones that I think are less safe. That corner, everyone is slowing for it and the only danger is being to eager and impatient and misjudging it to where you put your rear wheel in the wall.

Safety is of paramount importance for F1. Shortsighted statements like this serves no purpose. When Halo was introduced, Hamilton was one of the harshest critic of it, but guess who was one of the biggest beneficiary in Monza last year.

https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/mot ... 11546.html
Lewis Hamilton has criticised Formula One’s newest safety concept as “the worst looking modification in Formula 1 history”, with the ‘Halo’ head guard continuing to split opinion after Ferrari ran it on their car in testing at Barcelona.
https://www.dezeen.com/2016/03/09/lewis ... rt-design/
Despite backing from several drivers and initially suggested by Mercedes-Benz – Hamilton's current team – the British world champion took to Instagram to attack the design for being ugly in a post he has since removed.
Lastly, the guy in your profile image would have been alive if the safety was treated as importantly back in those days as it is now. Luckily, his close friend Sid Watkins revolutionized the safety to ensure we don't see such fatalities.

He said ut being ugly is not a big deal. He never said the decision was wrong or that it should be removed.

Racing is aslo risky. Some drivers are happy to die in the car.. But most are not.. And the teams and fans dont want this either.

Grosjean was also opposed to it, then praised it. It almost certainly saved his life.

I think a redbull 1-2 here if no reliability issues.

Haas is the 3rd fastest car. Would love to see Mick get a result in it.

I say it's Mick Schumacher maiden pole, but a Sainz led Ferrari 1,2 in the race😉

Oh, and the AMR22 is a dog, so Vettel takes the COVID route to retirement.

Bar any mishaps this is Ferrari territory. Max would have to dig very deep to get in front.

Only if Mick moves to Ferrari this week and Carlos has problems
