That is a confirmed terrorist attack apparently.

One that presumably happened as F1 is on this weekend.

Given F1 would be such a fantastic target too, it would seem insane if this race goes ahead. They should pack up and go home right now.

If I were Vettel, sitting home with my family, having the success I did and compare that to flying into war zones to satisfy some rich dictator’s ego, and seeing the state of Aston’s car, I’d probably quite.

did Sainz hit the wall as well or does he have any technical problems? No longrun at all for Ferrari today

Just skimmed it. They decided to keep him in the pits.

Red Bull Powertrains has some work to do.

Tsunoda's engine cut did not sound pretty. Yikes.

4/4 cars affected by engine problems in less than two GP weekends. No luck or bad design?

Might be both. The RB's just had fuel issues but Gasly and Tsunoda's look like outright PU failures.

EDIT: On second look, might be a gearbox for Yuki.

hard to reach much into those times. Verstappen looked quick considering he had to wait until lap 5 to do a push lap, but Leclerc had a lot of traffic on his fastest one.

It is, but you can’t have better racing if drivers only get a few attempts at out braking a competitor. It seems like a classic not seeing the forest for the trees from the rules makers.

Brakes haven't been the limiting factor in decades and they shouldn’t be in 2022.
I see it more like some compromise made by the teams, and not a rules matter.

The cars until 2021 were using huge amounts of air to blow through the wheels to achieve outwash, and a by-product was cooling the brakes.

Now the outwash through the wheels is not allowed, teams are "choking" their cooling requirements in the brakes, as it is detrimental for aero and not beneficial.
I know why, but when drivers can't race because they are nursing their brakes, what did they really "fix"?
I suppose that to aim to the faster / better cars and try to achieve better racing is a nonsense, and F1 should realize this as soon as possible.

I was only pointing to this same fact: You cannot force the teams to do what you want: They will always & only aim to the faster racing time the simulations tell to them.
