I don't think it would be worth building up a spare tub. Schumacher is most likely not going to race. Who are they going to get to drive with no experience in the car? Only logical driver would be Nikolaus Meisterspinnen?
P. Fittipaldi.
Oh right

Although I think the cars look great around here I am happy to know this is the last year they will race this circuit. Remember thinking last year someone is going to seriously going to be hurt here. Fingers crossed for tomorrow

yeah, but just checked the rules. Still no change possible after Qualifying indeed

"Changes may be made at any time before the start of the qualifying practice session provided any change proposed after the end of initial scrutineering receives the consent of the stewards."

I'm surprised no video of the crash.

Nothing to loose if the setup isn't there. No idea what they'd try as they seem to have done last ditch efforts for this week with a cut down wing.

I don't know if Fittipaldi is allowed to race after Mick has already taken part in Qualifying.

Also I'm quite a bit worried about the lack of updates on Mick. Reminds me of an accident in Imola 1994.

Such a quick shunt. Curb then wall.

But FP3 was fine. Maybe they changed something heading to Q?

He was moving and responded to his team but I would imagine he's been concussed or a cracked rib

Avoids first corner crash, first lap crash etc. Will easily be on the back of people within a lap or two.

Sensible from merc if they decide to do that tbh. The car has pace, just looks like they went too far with setup and --- themselves.

The worst part is: if anything bad happens to Schumacher, it's not for the lack of warnings.
Everybody knew from the beggining the track is not only boring but also dangerous, and they decided to keep the GP even after a terrorist attack took part near the circuit.

Unfortunately cash is king in F1 (and not track position as some like to think).

according to a tweet I just saw, Steiner said on Austrian TV that he seems to be okay, and has phoned his mother already
