Sounds like there won't be a McLaren Audi deal
The full article suggests that McLaren may be looking to work with BMW instead. First I've heard BMW be mentioned
Saw an article a couple of days ago about BMW and McLaren working on an an electric vehicle. It even claimed some non-binding agreement had been signed, which would have been invalidated if the Audi deal went through.
Same! Im very glad Mclaren isn't going to be taken over by the VAG group.
Those BMW V10's were epic!Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑08 Apr 2022, 00:10I would love to see the McLaren-BMW combination. I remember Williams BMW being a powerhouse during 2000 to 2004 with BMW being the strongest engine on high speed circuits.
Car looks much faster here for whatever reason. Hopefully it's a setup step that they've taken rather than just corner characteristics
BMW was mentioned at the start when rumours about VW emerged, but it fizzled out quickly. Aparently they werent out at all.
You can't compete with factory teams. Factory teams have satellites, twice as much time in the wind tunnel, cfd
They aren't allowed to share CFD or Wind Tunnel data with "junior" teams! They are only allowed to share spec parts on the allowed parts for sale list. They also have less CFD and WT time due to finishing higher in the WDC in previous seasons!
Stop believing in Santa Claus. Don't believe everything they write.djos wrote: ↑08 Apr 2022, 06:18They aren't allowed to share CFD or Wind Tunnel data with "junior" teams!
