Looks like a trickier session for Ferrari today, relative to redbull. Despite the several bets I have on Ferrari this weekend, my pick right now would be a redbull pole.
Ferrari was not even close to being on the limit. Also RedBull wasn’t, but seemed to have some balance problems.

Alpine and McLaren in the mix proves that the others have not shown their hand yet.
definitely not, but I'd say it's fairly clear that both (Ferrari and Red Bull) had issues in FP3. The changes to the track are a big problem, and could shake up things quite a bit

I also see the race notes made changes to way you line up at a safety car restart. Max can no longer come alongside.
Mess with the Bull - you get the horns.

Does anyone know why Pirelli has been doing this skipped set for tyres. It seems very odd now that teams have choice on starting tyre. It basically means no one will use the softs in the race

it actually looked fairly durable yesterday. Some may try it in the race to have an advantage early on. The hard will probably last for two races anyway, so doesn't matter much if you stop in lap 10 or 20.

As far as I understood, the reason to use them was that on this track (and new surface) the difference in terms of lap time is relatively low. Even those supersofts now are only sth like 6 tenths quicker than the medium.

I think Mick lost a lot of time on S3 there. If I´m not mistaken, he was 0.5s faster than Kmag after S2. Can anyone confirm this?

Mick was very good till S2, lost huge in S3, traffic of mistake I dunno, was way ahead of Mag. KMAG is obviously not in his peak this weekend with health issues. The Haas car belongs somewhere around Alfa Romeo or maybe a tenth slower.

This might help Vettel now? Maybe they’ll be able to finish the car.
