As pointed out above quali is quite late too, I hope visibility will be good enough, it only takes a shunt or a damaged barrier to push everything back an hour.

I thought they have pressure and temp sensors embedded in the wheels now so why the FIA is checking randomly now?

Top temperature today of 13 degrees. Rain. Can't help feel that today is going to expose the foolhardiness of putting the tyre blanket temperatures so low and arranging the calendar in such a way that we're in Europe so early in the schedule. Can't see how these cars are going to run with such low tyre temps and poor grip, have a feeling that it's not going to be pretty to watch.

Also, it could be such a crazy qualifying if they don't get to do any practice. Now idea how that's going to shake out!

Watching the mechanics outside the pit clearing the water with brooms, why do they not use air? is it not allowed? an air broom half mtr wide would do it far quicker than squeegees,

Ferrari looks twitchy in the rain, which is unexpected given their prodigious traction in the dry. Looks to come a bit easier in the redbull.

Merc nowhere. Oy vey.

Merc barely even doing laps.

Ham has been in garage almost the entire session.

Reddit level analysis right here. It's been like 30 minutes and a handful of laps

I’m just looking at the screen and commenting on what I see. I’m not vying for the prize of most interesting analysis, I’m just sharing thoughts to spawn a discussion.

Instead of criticising me, what do you see in the session? That’s more interesting isn’t it? Agree or disagree…

I think at that point it looked like everyone was just getting up to speed and it's pointless to comment on it just yet. FP1, in the wet and some cars with new updates. Even now later in the session things are changing quickly.
