Only Leclerc apparently
As far as i could see if they don't go full deployment on the main straight they bounce just a little bit, when they go "overtake button" the speed increases and pushes them into hard bouncing territory.GrizzleBoy wrote: ↑23 Apr 2022, 17:10Was the Ferrari of Charles porpoising the entire race or only at the end there?
How is this possible ?
Well no, graining happens when you don't let the tyres warm up properly, Sainz was in traffic the first laps which means he had to go slower then, while LEC needed to push from the start to keep VER behind as he couldn't create any gaps.
Damn what a perfect summary of the Sprint race!!Sevach wrote: ↑23 Apr 2022, 17:16Best sprint yet, not a fan of the format, most overtakes were too easy, but that was easily better than any of last year.
Red Bull really on form this weekend, Ferrari has a tough race for tomorrow.
Mclaren best of the rest but by a huge margin, can't trouble the top 2.
Mercedes even worst than expected.
Leclerc had to push the entire time to keep Max at bay and couldn't shake him off, Sainz had to be patient and wait for the positions to fall to him, it's normal that he had better tires at the end.
I don't like it at all. Drivers in slower cars need to be rewarded for their qualy performances not give the faster cars a double opportunity.Michelangelo wrote: ↑23 Apr 2022, 17:13It is just a "recover from mistakes" session, nothing more. Fast cars overtake, slower cars have their quali efforts wasted.
True, now we have the 4 best cars were they were suppoused to be.CaribouBread wrote: ↑23 Apr 2022, 17:32A fun session but it shows why the sprint idea is flawed, it just nullifies the first stint for tomorrow (the main race!) which could've had some interesting strategic maneuvering by cars that were out of position. We get to see "action" right away in expense of potentially fun main event tomorrow.
