Perez saying he's going for the Win while ahead of Max in the WDC.

It’s forecast to be cooler tomorrow, a high of 18 vs 22 today. I don’t know the impact that will have on tyres, but it will certainly have an impact. Also higher chance of rain at the time the race is scheduled.

Will be interesting to watch, regardless of what happens.

Yeah the DRS is too powerful and there’s little chance to defend. That said, if it had been shorter and passes weren’t getting made, everyone would moan about processions. It’s a fine and tricky balance for the FIA and hopefully the ultimate goal is no DRS at all, but we’re not there yet unfortunately.

The result ultimately increases Leclerc’s championship lead to 40 points - with Sainz back to second place. While arguably Max is the real threat, he still only closed in by one point. The real key will be whether or not Ferrari suffer the same deg on harder compounds - in Saudi, Ferrari had an advantage on the medium (at least over Perez) because of better tyre management but that was entirely nullified by the lack of degradation on the hard. So will be interesting to see what happens in the race in terms of strategy.

Is there really any point in a sprint? Imho not really, other than it makes Friday more interesting with quali. Was this a reasonably enjoyable way to spend 45 mins? Yes, I think it was, even for a Tifoso. So I think trying it out and playing with the formula is ultimately something they need to do, even if the success of it is debatable.

I agree, it was alright today, but I'd say it's still less exciting than Qualifying, and makes the Saturday practice completely pointless to watch. So while it adds sth to the Friday, the contrary is the case for Saturday.

Still, I don't mind those two or three weekends like this a year. But hopefully they'll leave the others as they are

Lest not forget, tomorrow cars will be around 50-60kilo heavier, different compounds might play into Ferrari’s hands and also it will be cooler. It will be interesting tomorrow how it will all unfold.

Verstappen has had too many bad starts in the last so many races since 2021 which gives an opportunity for others. If he does get away well then we see how the race goes. Ferrari have good traction and that definitely gives a great opportunity for Leclerc off the line.

It's hard to examine how far away Mercedes is from today. Although they are sure looking stagnant compared to other cars and developments

Boaaaa I fully agree…

But for sure a nightmare of a Sprint race for both the W13 😳😳

To be fair, all 3 practices are pointless to watch in normal weekends too.
