Is there really any point in a sprint? Imho not really, other than it makes Friday more interesting with quali. Was this a reasonably enjoyable way to spend 45 mins? Yes, I think it was, even for a Tifoso. So I think trying it out and playing with the formula is ultimately something they need to do, even if the success of it is debatable.
I agree, it was alright today, but I'd say it's still less exciting than Qualifying, and makes the Saturday practice completely pointless to watch. So while it adds sth to the Friday, the contrary is the case for Saturday.

Still, I don't mind those two or three weekends like this a year. But hopefully they'll leave the others as they are
To be fair, all 3 practices are pointless to watch in normal weekends too.
Yeah, I don't agree at all. Plenty of stuff can be gathered from the practice sessions, but certainly they aren't worth points.

It is just a "recover from mistakes" session, nothing more. Fast cars overtake, slower cars have their quali efforts wasted.

Great track:

Follow by 95% of track --> DRS --> car in front with 0% chance to defend --> done --> follow next one...

Can´t believe we´re having this sprint race/qualifying for a second year.

Ross Brawn wants to revisit the plan to run six sprint events in 2023, which will be discussed with the teams next week.

I hope all teams unanimously reject it. There was nothing wrong with the format of qualifying before

I agree, up to yet it is possible to argue that each of them have had an impact on how the GP plays out.

How is it possible that only Red Bull team seem to have no porpoising at all? Did they find a trick/loophole on the suspension regulation? Is this possible?

Adrian Newey's expertise with ground Effect I guess. Most his career was started on that type of car

From seeing sainz floor after his qualifying crash, its suprising (or not so) how similar it looks to the mercedes floor. Red bulls floor has many different features not seen on the other 2 cars.
So i guess theres things to be learned there for ferrari and merc.

I hope they do too. Totally underwhelmed by the race for short attention spans again today. Much prefer the usual building of the weekend up to a Grand Prix on Sunday. All its done is spoil a good looking grid via some straight line indefensible boring DRS passes.

60% from last I read.

When is the difficult question. Last year's wet to dry race was interesting. I think I'd rather it create havoc towards the second half of the race though.
