Isn't the car really. It's a mixture of bad luck and being in the midfield. Hamilton needs to just have that extra tenth in these wacky conditions.grubschumi13 wrote: ↑24 Apr 2022, 16:52I don't know.PlatinumZealot wrote: ↑24 Apr 2022, 16:41I think he is not doing too bad but in the midfield a single tenth can make the difference. Three crap races in a row. Not the setup he wanted but he will adapt in due time.grubschumi13 wrote: ↑24 Apr 2022, 16:40What can be said about Hamilton. Another poor weekend. That is 2 in 4 races. Had this been 2014-2021 he would have finished 2nd at worst, but now. Even those Brazil like overtakes are gone.
Certainly it is not looking good. If Russell also finished say 9th/10th or lower, you could just say bad car. It is not a magic car for sure but he should not be finishing 14th fighting AT, AM, Williams.
Remember this same race last year people asked what Bottas was doing fighting a Williams yet today Ham was beaten by one in conditions generally in which he is considered one of the best.
We forget it was actually a different layout then, with an extra chicane. I had forgotten all about the extra chicane to be honest!dialtone wrote: ↑24 Apr 2022, 16:41This very track saw Michael Schumacher behind Alonso for a good chunk of the race in 2005.the poster below wrote: ↑24 Apr 2022, 16:34Is there a record for most laps spent sub 1s behind the same car? This race must be a contender for Hamilton
Good summary. Thank you.Sevach wrote: ↑24 Apr 2022, 16:59Perfect weekend for Max and a very solid one for Perez.
Bringing upgrades to a Sprint weekend was deemed to risky by Ferrari, but it seems to have paid off, they had the pace and it wasn't by a small margin.
Red Bull also might've learned something on how to setup this car in Melbourne.
Now it's up to Ferrari to respond.
The Red Mist caught Charles, he needs to learn fast, he's no longer racing for random good results.
Sainz was an innocent party this time.
Great result for Lando in a rather lonely race.
Good damage limitation for Russell, car didn't have the pace he got what he could.
I was cheering Bottas down the stretch too bad he couldn't pull it off, still very good in these conditions(something he often struggled in his Merc years), despite a terrible stop.
what was great about Ricciardo's drive?JordanMugen wrote: ↑24 Apr 2022, 17:06Great drives from Verstappen, Perez, Norris, Ricciardo and Albon too!![]()
Fingers crossed that Red Bull reliability problems are fixed.
I do think a lot of teams will find huge gains as the season progresses including Mercedes. Look at Mclaren who were back markers in the first 2 races now on the edge of the Podium. Leclerc is error prone, RBR have reliability questions. Anything can happen.PlatinumZealot wrote: ↑24 Apr 2022, 17:03Isn't the car really. It's a mixture of bad luck and being in the midfield. Keep in mind he was quicker race pace wise in the first three races.
He's an emotional guy. That's probably his biggest weakness and he's letting the disappointment get to him like it did in 2011 when Vettel was out of reach.
This is not anything new really. LH have experienced rounds of meagre results before. We can take it. We don't think LH is God as people try to brand us. In fact most of us are fans of the sport anyway.
