Changing subjects - is Mercedes expecting some major progress this weekend or nah?

What has this topic become?
Something that has nothing to do with the Mercedes team, but more about what Lewis and others think about diversity within the sport.

It should all be split off into another subject IMHO.

It has something to do with the Mercedes team but it went on a tangent.

Anyhow i think the topic is relevant to the team and the sport and this team is doing something positive.

Additionally it seems they found some breakthrough on the issues with the car but they havent mentioned details.
Will they gamble on a solution since they have limited resources?
For Sure!!

The no-pods was already a gamble. So further gambling would be par the course.

Is Aldo Costa still an advisor despite his position at Dallara?

But was it a gamble? They had CFD, wind tunnel and sim/7 post rig data and feedback to base designing the no-pods on. Terribly unfortunate that the simulated data didn’t correlate to on track in the real world but I don’t see it as being anymore of a gamble than what the other 9 teams did just because those have a more ‘conventional’ sidepod design.

we didn't want these 'wide ranged and nuanced reports' from Lewis or anyone else - with our motor sport

because that's exactly what motor sport is not about

so let's have a race !

btw
people of my age still feel that it's too early for Germans to be preaching to us
but of course we don't say this

Who is "we"? Or "us" for that matter?

Did you do some kind of petition and get signatures to show you are representing the opinions of those other than your own about whether anyone wanted Lewis to do this report or not?

Which Germans are preaching to you and what are they preaching to you about?

Well I’d happily sit and listen to Vettel preach for hours. But it’s because of his values, not his nationality.

Let’s get on to it- Merc look faster and are not porpoising. Could be massive, could be track specific.

Is it upgrades related, or is the low downforce set up that stops inducing it?

Intriguing that Ferrari also seemed to reduce the porpoising too.

It’s perked my interest for the weekend for sure!
