I'm a big fan of Carlos Sainz but it's ironical how drivers say they can all win in the fastest car. Now he finds himself in arguably the fastest car, four races in he still can't keep it out of the walls.
Sainz can't get on with the handling characteristics of the car, at least so far. Perhaps it will fit more to his preferences after updates. :)

I like the track, I wonder how competitive Merc really is? Should be an interesting quali tomorrow.

At the track now, someone is going to crash out of 17 at 18 or 19, bumpy with gear changes and deteriorating track
Track side report

This track is super dangerous, I am genuinely scared for both drivers and spectators. I don't understand how the FIA are allowing these swoopy blind high speed full throttle "straights". Specifically turns 10and 11. There is a bump there, on the racing line, and I can see something bad happening there quite easily, especially with drs activated.

The Ferrari are clearly the loudest.

RUS is running much lower than Hamilton, at least in the rear. Hamilton did not seem happy with his car, I've never seen him abort so many laps.

Pit exit is also a dangerous place.

What a track! Love it. When you see that many mistakes all through all the sessions, it shows it’s gotta be a challenge indeed. That wonky section between 13 and 15 is outstanding. Really messed up cambers and a way high red sausage for a penalty. Yes. Super slippy sections and oversteer/ understeer challenges. Couple great obvious sections for passing and certainly opportunities in others, though the offline is only going to get worse as the weekend continues making offline outside passes possibly impossible. Pit out is going to be interesting. Overall highly impressed with this track they’ve made in Miami.

Sainz. Wow. So disappointed in his driving. The car is over his head it seems. He’s trying, but too hard, and can’t seem to stop himself. Maybe the team and pressure of being a Ferrari driver is just to much for the lad? Shame. I really expected more from him. I thought the Ferrari driver pairing was one of the strongest at the beginning of the season, and Sainz seems determined to prove that theory wrong. Hope he has a better quali and fights for the win.

Merc working hard to resolve their livin la vita loca porpoising issue and right when it looked like they maybe had come to grips, FP2 race pace/fuel and the w13 bounces like a bronco on crack. 🤷‍♂️ George continues to give Hammy a beat down as I have been saying he would all year. Wasn’t this the year Hammy said he would be better than ever? 🤔

Shame what happened to Max. I’m not sure the team has fully gelled with the cooling of the car. I continue to wonder if Checo can maintain calm enough to show he understands this car better. I do think that Max has more raw talent and can handle the pressure better than Checo, but I think those can be overcome...especially if RB continue to hand Max dnf’s. We all know Newey makes fragile cars at times, and it seems this cherry pie is on a knife’s edge between just right and over-baked. I hate dnf’s for any driver, well, that’s not true, I hate dnf’s for 99% of the drivers, and it would be a shame if Max is basically dnf’ed out of contention.

FRED! Let’s hope the elder statesman can this time have a car that doesn’t let him down when it counts. What a joy to watch him throw the car around like a rented mule. If he can make the top 3 it would be absolutely stunning. He’s pulling that car into places beyond its capabilities — a lot like what Russel is doing in that turd pod Merc this weekend. Both are impressing.

Enjoyed the interview with Mario Andretti during the red flag. I do hope they are successful in bringing an American team to F1. They clearly have the financials worked out and are ready to go right now. Sounds like Herta is the shoe-in driver. Nice. Wonder who #2 would be?

I would be interest to know which aspect of the car affects his driving style.
He said, on Beyond the Grid, that he like a car with a lot of front end and he can't handle a very oversteery car. He added the 2021 Ferrari was pretty neutral. Would be curious to know his analysis of the 2022 car.

This is a bit of a worry. Are they laying new tarmac… the day before? Sure it’ll be like driving on an oil slick for FP3 and quali.

They will leave it & just put “RAMP” signs up a few metres before.

Whole track sounds like a shambles from what I caught George and Lando saying in interviews. Fine on line, but soon as you step out to overtake there is no grip at all and like driving on marbles/gravel. Probably hinder overtaking.

Already seen Perez overtake vettel on the inside and couldnt slow the car down.

Sounds like quali will be extremely important then if drivers will have the double whammy of there being only one available line into and out of corners and no rubber going down off line due to that.

I think its jewellery in general.
Took the time to watch some podium shots or other shots of drivers just out of their car, and they're not wearing any jewelry. The only thing I saw was them wearing a watch, a watch which could not be spotted when they just got out of the car.

So it's a non-issue in that case, which makes the sole issue Hamilton's jewelry.
Grosjean (you know the one who’s had it the worst re:fire in F1 in the last few) said his ring posed a minor inconvenience at best during his episode. Much ado about something v minor & I agree seems targeted. Hope he continues on myself

I don't think its about wedding rings, I think it's about the second wedding ring, and the third wedding ring, and the wedding bracelet, and the second wedding bracelet, and the third wedding bracelet, and the wedding necklace, and the second wedding necklace, and the wedding watch, and the wedding hair pendant, and the second wedding hair pendant, and the wedding lip ring, and the wedding nose ring, and the wedding earring, and the second through fifth wedding ear rings, on people who aren't married. At least there's no decree against full body wedding tattoos, though. Yet...
