Looks like teams still are not certain if it's best to do a few warmup laps then set a time or just right into it. It's on the edge due to the heat. Does anyone know track temp?

Today the Merc looks like it has been all season. Terrible in most parts of the track.

The sliding around in this track is top notch, ice skating worthy. With the hard tyre you can't stay on track really.
This could be a good avenue for the LibertyTM era. Parking lots around the world, just open, no track lines; have the drivers go out and 'express' themselves emotively while driving and wearing lots of jewelry, maybe shiny sequined jumpsuits. Schmaltzy top 40 pablum played over loudspeakers for each number. Dancing with the Cars.

Merc upgrades havent worked looking at George. He'll be off for a checkup on his back after that session
Mess with the Bull - you get the horns.

I don’t think a front and rear wing were ever going to help with porpoising, let’s see what they bring in Barcelona before passing judgment.

So it appears potentially Mercs main issue is their control of the tyre temps

Verstappen was due for P1 if not for that mistake. Mercedes are now confused. My guess would be that the track has rubbered in. Shocked by Vettel's time.

Ferrari tried warm up lap before setting a lap where as Red Bull just went straight out. I can't see Ferrari getting pole. They may be able to go longer in the race though.

Anyone a clue as to what teams will be aiming for undercut/overcut?

Leclerc set his time on 11 laps old soft tyres apparently

What's your source for Ferrari setting warm up laps? In the last 10 minutes they set 2 fast laps each, which is about the most you can set.

That may of been but earlier in the session Leclerc was setting 1:58s then setting fastests lap
