Second time this year Russell absolutely benefited from on track carnage / yellow flags. Great driver, but he has had two cases of incredible luck.

All thanks to the SC again. But I understand why you would leave that out

Wow, that Red Bull is a rocket, despite very low drag tyre wear was not a differentiator. Really well done, by both RB and VER.

I hope ferrari brings something good. They are on slight decline already... 2,3 tenths behind RB in the race.

Probably missed chance with not running new wing

Sir Max Verstappen. Has not left off from last year. Still winning in a competitive F1

Going back to Brazil last year I remember Horner and Marko whining about the Merc being unracable with a few kph top speed advantage. Wonder what they call this.

So George has inherited Lewis’s luck, right?

Well, race was quite boring for a long time though. Really, this track doesn't allow for good racing imho.

GG Max, great drive.

Before seeing telemetry I could spot a few things: RedBull didn't just win thanks to high top speed, they had great mechanical grip in T11-16. In the last few laps with Lec and Ver back to back, Ver was jumping around a bit more at the end of straight to T17, I would wager that RedBull had softer suspension going here which allowed them to get the edge both on tyre temperature and mechanical grip despite the lower wing.

Now really eagerly awaiting for Ferrari first updates in Barcelona, porpoising is really ruining this car.

I keep thinking RB must have took a leaf out of Merc's race in Brazil last year. Even with DRS Charles cant really challenge max. Soon as he drops out of DRS, Max just drops him
Mess with the Bull - you get the horns.

I thought Sainz was dead in the water even with the power advantage over Perez.

He and Leclerc did what they could. The Ferraris were outmatched on race pace.

Ironic that last season CH was crying the only reason Hamilton won was because Mercedes was faster in a straight line. Seems RB we’re taking notes all along

That’s just how it goes. George was finishing behind or two spots behind Lewis without that, but he’s doing a great job to put himself in a position to benefit.
