Yep but he said more efficient. It used to be that these changes would get looked at by the PU Manufactures for aproval AFTER the FIA approved them. Not sure if it still happens that way.
Alpine got approval for thier Revised water pump but that's kind of a no brainer when it comes to a "reliability" fix. No way a water pump can give you more power.
Virtually every reliability tweak has performance consequences. What I think is each manufacturer is scratching the other's back in order to receive favors when it's their turn to ask for something.
